The XP HF2 coil is the ultimate upgrade for detectorists chasing the smallest and most difficult targets. Whether you're hunting fine gold in Australia's mineralised goldfields, picking valuable relics from iron-infested sites, or searching trashy parks for jewellery, the HF2 delivers outstanding sensitivity, superb target separation and effortless manoeuvrability. Compatible with both the DEUS II and the new ICON range, it's the specialist coil that gives you the edge when others have walked away.

The HF2 is designed around three main frequency ranges, which can be quickly accessed using the FREQ MAX setting: 9 to 27 kHz, 17 to 53 kHz, and 17 to 90 kHz. Each range offers 7 wide frequency shifts for greater precision and adaptability. In mono-frequency mode, it can reach up to 120 kHz, making it extremely capable of finding tiny gold nuggets, fine jewellery, small hammered coins, shot pellets and other low-conductive targets that larger, lower-frequency coils can miss.

Because it's so sensitive, it will also find tiny bits of lead, wire and foil that other coils might ignore. Its coverage per sweep is smaller than an 11-inch coil, so it isn't the fastest choice for covering large open paddocks. Experienced users generally see it as a complementary coil rather than a replacement for the standard 11-inch FMF.
