Picks, Scoops & Digging Tools
Each tool serves a distinct treasure-hunting purpose:
- Digging Tools (Shovels & Trowels): Specialized heavy-duty spades or hand trowels. They often feature serrated edges to slice through roots and thick turf while leaving clean, easily replaceable plugs of dirt.
- Beach Scoops: Perforated buckets (often made of stainless steel, aluminum, or titanium) attached to a handle. They scoop up sand, then allow it to easily wash or shake out while trapping the hidden target.
- Picks (Hand Picks & Mattocks): Heavy, pointed tools commonly used in highly mineralized goldfields or rocky, hard-packed earth. They are designed to break up tough clay and compacted gravel where standard shovels fail.
